Garibashvili: Georgia will send a solid humanitarian cargo to Turkey

A terrible tragedy has occurred in Turkey, and I would like to once again express my condolences to our friendly brotherly Turkish people, Turkish President Erdogan,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili told reporters.

As Irakli Garibashvili noted, Georgia should provide maximum support to the Turkish people.“I instructed the relevant departments to begin preparations for sending a solid humanitarian cargo, which will be sent to Turkey on Monday-Tuesday.

We have allocated one million lari for this. In addition to the government, the private sector has also been mobilized, the parliament and other departments are involved, and we must provide maximum support to the Turkish people. Once again, I want to express my condolences, wish strength and recovery to the victims. You know that in the very first days we sent 100 rescuers to Turkey. Our heroes-rescuers participate in these works.

Our Georgian rescuers managed to save a lot of people. I want to say again that we are ready to do even more,” the Prime Minister said.
